‘Mouthful’ is a large scale community project funded by Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and Clarion Housing. This is a Creative Exchange project, meaning it is run in collaboration with our Cultural Forum. You can read more about them here!

The project’s main deliverable is a recipe book developed by the community, for the community. We know that food brings people together and is an accessible way to engage in different cultures, and this book is a celebration of that. Ebbsfleet is incredibly diverse, & during the course of the project we will be working with lots of different residents with different backgrounds to make the book come together. 

As well as the book itself, during project progress we will: 

• Be pairing up local residents and local chefs to work on bespoke recipe development which will go into the book
• Be taking on recipe submissions from local residents so they can share a slice of their culture with their community
• Be recording oral histories behind the submitted recipes where possible
• Offering community outreach workshops – details will be published here when we have them! 
• Offering schools workshops to develop recipes as a group

The culmination of all of this work will take place on the 20th June, where we will host a food festival launching the recipe book. The festival will also feature local food vendors, art/food workshops, live music, demos, and MORE!
