Searching for creative events and opportunities to get involved in this September? Three brilliant festivals are taking place this month – Peckham Digital, the UK Creative Festival, and Heritage Open Days – England’s largest history & cultural festival.
But that’s not all. Maybe you’re looking to visit an interactive arts exhibition or take part in a creative workshop. There’s also a variety of exciting opportunities to apply to – from ITV, Creative Access, Arts Emergency and more.
The Blueprint Arts team has curated a selection of activities and creative opportunities – in London, in Kent, and online – for you to enjoy this September.
For two days only, come along to I’m Yours & You’re Mine, Stay Curious – The House of Do Your Own Thing, a free immersive exhibition at South London Gallery.
Produced by the Feel Good Designers, this will feature arts and performances from within the various rooms of a house.
There will also be a special online event on Sat 4th Sept at 19:30 featuring music and a tour of the exhibition.
Peckham Digital is a brand new creative computing festival taking place this September.
Over the 4 days, there will be a range of free workshops, exhibitions, meet-ups, talks and performances. It will feature 9 digital artists and over 20 presenters.
Tickets to all events are free, and you can sign up for each individual event online.
Taking place every year in September, Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture. Places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history.
This is a wonderful chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences.

Creative Access is partnering with ITV to provide a virtual mentoring programme for aspiring and emerging career talent from communities underrepresented in TV.
Mentors will be available from across all ITV teams and departments. The programme will run for 6 months.
Participants must be over the age of 18 and be from an underrepresented group.
Delivered by Always Possible as part of the GLIDE project, the Creative Entrepreneurs Bootcamp is a week of free online specialist workshops. It aims to give participants a strong grounding in the fundamentals of starting your own creative business.
The programme is available for anyone aged 16 or over who has an interest in turning their creativity into a living.
Arts Emergency are looking for mentors who are based in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Brighton, East Midlands, West Midlands, Leeds, Bradford, Newcastle & Gateshead.
Mentors will work voluntarily with a young person over the course of the year to help them gain confidence, connections and advice.
To become an AE mentor, complete the online application and attend an online mentor training session (6 available sessions).
Come along to the final Art Rebels Workshop at Turner Contemporary Gallery. This is a free drop-in creative workshop for families and young people, inspired by the current exhibitions on show in the gallery.
Lead by their Engagement Assistants, participants will be able to create their very own art rebel Zines – inspired by places both real and imaginary.
The UK Creative Festival & Careers Festival is a 3-day event celebrating the best of the UK creative industries, whilst creating pathways for aspiring young talent.
The programme includes talks, workshops, activities, panels and social events that are designed to connect, educate and inspire.
All aspiring young (16-24yrs) creatives are invited to attend. All applicants will receive online access to the Careers Fair and the young creative panels and workshops online.
