October is here! As the temperature starts to drop, now’s the perfect time to warm up your heart, soul and inner creativity with some fun arts-based activities.
Blueprint Arts has curated a selection of events and creative opportunities taking place in London, South East England & online to ensure you have a creative October. Including festivals, Black History Month events, and our own workshops!
Come along to a free family fun day to celebrate arts and culture with a unique pop-up Fun Palace at Half Moon Theatre.
The theme for the day is oceans and water. Events include pop-up storytelling, sea creature art, treasure chest craft sessions, music workshops and a pop-up photo booth.
No booking required – simply drop-in during the day.
Taking place over eight days, come along to Hastings Storytelling Festival 2021. The festival aims to celebrate the art of telling stories for adults & children.
Events include spoken word, dance, theatre, talks and digital media. And the festival will end with a fun children’s day and parade.
Come along to a free major retrospective exhibition of the works of British-Ghanaian photographer James Barnor.
Barnor’s career as a studio portraitist, photojournalist and Black lifestyle photographer has spanned six decades, two continents and numerous photographic genres.
His work serves as a recording of major social and political changes in London and Accra.
Hosted by the Victoria & Albert Museum, this free festival gives participants the chance to explore pathways into the creative industries and cultural sector.
Held over two-days, the festival includes a series of artist and designer-led talks and creative workshops, spanning various topics.
Join Inc Arts UK to work together to develop effective ways to encourage organisations in the creative and cultural sector to engage with anti-racist work.
This will be a space to share ideas for collaborative and inclusive anti-racist action in the arts.
Arts Emergency is looking for mentors who are based in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Brighton, East Midlands, West Midlands, Leeds, Bradford, Newcastle & Gateshead.
Mentors will work voluntarily with a young person over the course of the year to give them advice and help them gain confidence and connections.

Pageant on Paper is a collaborative drawing project that celebrates amazing women both past and present. Come along to one of our afternoon workshops for the chance to learn how to sketch a beautiful drawing and find out more about some of the women depicted.
1pm: adults-only session – please join us for a more quiet and focused drawing workshop.
2.30pm: family session – drop in anytime before 3.30pm to allow enough time to complete your sketch.
In celebration of Black History Month, Trapped In Zone One presents a free creative workshop at Tarling East Community Centre. Help design a new community mural based on the this year’s theme of ‘Proud To Be’.
The finished design will be painted at Dellow Street Games Area in Shadwell.
Following on from our hugely successful 2021 Summer Art Club, Blueprint Arts is once again offering children aged 5-11 years the opportunity to immerse themselves in art over the autumn half-term break.
Each day will be jam-packed with arts activities – including drama, film, dance, art and more
Offering an entire week of sessions, this is also a great child care opportunity for working families.
