Join the Japan Society for a film club dedicated to the 1988 Japanese animated classic, Grave of the Fireflies.
Directed by Isao Takahata and animated by Studio Ghibli, Grave of the Fireflies tells the story of two siblings, Seita and Setsuko Yokokawa, and their struggle to survive during the final months of World War II in Japan. It has been ranked as one of the greatest war films of all time.
With live music, heart-warming folklore and shadow puppetry from a world-class ensemble, Anytime The Wind Can Change is a unique cabaret night, suitable for all ages. It tells the story of two lonely giants who fall in love across a vast sea, sending messages to each other on the wings of birds.
After a successful debut last year, Electric Medway returns with a 10-day arts programme. Featuring a range of artworks and activities including films, virtual reality, performances, projection, workshops, animation and sound installations.

Organised by Activate the City in collaboration with Allbirds, this free 7-week summer programme will focus on Youth Climate Action ahead of COP 26 in November.
Participants will get to take part in creative and engaging workshops lead by industry experts. Activities include greening your local area, content creation, zine-making, building an installation & organising a final showcase event.

The Society of Wildlife Artists is seeking submissions of works that depict wildlife subjects and evoke the spirit of the natural world. A range of prizes and awards are available to be won. Any artist over 18 years old is open to submit.
The Health Tree is looking for up to 4 freelance facilitators with lived experience of long Covid (or another long-term condition that has affected their daily life).
Participants will work with the Artistic Director to host a series of creative Covid Cafés between October 2021 and April 2022.
Kent Creative are hosting a free networking event for like-minded creatives and artists to chat, learn, discuss ideas and get support from the community.
The theme for this month’s session is ‘Building stories about yourself and your work.’
Come along to Brogdale Collections’ World Music Garden to take part in an exciting outdoor music workshop. Learn a piece of percussion-based music with local community samba band Samba Pelo Mar. The workshop will end with a final performance and parade. No previous experience needed & all instruments will be provided.
