festivals + events

Blueprint Arts aims to provide immersive, celebratory and inspiring festivals and events.

We bring communities together both to recognise their histories and uniqueness and to share in their collective creativity.

To provide the best representation, we develop every event with local communities. We believe this is also the best way to learn about each other’s artistic and cultural identities.

Our festivals and events are all about offering exciting opportunities.

We aim to give access to areas of the creative arts that these communities may have otherwise not experienced. Our established connections and partnerships across the country make this possible.

What activities can you expect from our festivals and events? Picture yourself making and staging a huge puppet show, creating lanterns for a massive lantern parade or getting up close with Japanese culture.

We work across a variety of themes, appealing to all ages and interests. Most importantly, every single festival and event we stage have one common aim: to inspire.

JAPAN festival

The driving force behind the Japan Festival is simple: to encourage cultural acceptance, connect with new audiences and make international arts and cultures accessible to all. Japan Festival started life as a film festival in Lincoln. Then in its second year, we introduced a few workshops and intimate performances. Gradually, it grew into a celebration of the rich culture of Japan. Each Japan Festival is jam-packed with workshops, performances and events designed to engage, inspire and enthral. This allows participants to experience the joy of Japanese culture first-hand.

Summer Gathering square image

summer gathering

In August 2021, in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts, Blueprint Arts hosted a Summer Gathering in Castle Hill Garden City Park, Ebbsfleet. The day was filled with exciting free shows and activities.

We invited families to bring their own picnics and enjoy interactive performances alongside theatre, arts, games, stalls, baby & toddler workshops, plus performances from local community members.

The event featured two shows: Ideal Palace, an exciting mix of an audio-theatre journey, immersive art experience & interactive trail (inspired by the real-life story of postman Ferdinand Chaval); and The Glitch in the Wardrobe, a gateway to explore an augmented reality experience using QR codes – co-created by children.

Stay tuned for future Summer Gathering events by following us on social media.
